Before Ubunzo, we were a group of freelancers scattered across the globe. We worked on all kinds of projects, for all kinds of clients—but something was missing. Then 2021 happened, and we realized: enough was enough. It was time to stop working solo and start building something together.
So we teamed up—and Ubunzo was born. A collective built on shared skills, good vibes, and the drive to make cool stuff. Since then, a lot has changed. Our team has grown, shrunk, and grown again. We’ve adapted, evolved, and learned a ton along the way.
But one thing hasn’t changed: we’re still here to create awesome 3D work. And if you’re into that too, we’d love to create something with you.

What does ubunzo mean?
Honestly, we just made Ubunzo up because it sounded cool—no secret meaning, no ancient language, just vibes. It's playful enough to be a verb: you can totally "Ubunzo your brand" (like giving it an upgrade) or "Ubunzo with us" (meaning let's create something awesome together). Basically, Ubunzo is whatever you need it to be—and it’s pretty fun to say out loud, too.

We're headquartered in Calgary, Alberta (Canada), with most of our core team based in Canmore—a small town in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, right next to Banff National Park.
That said, we're a truly global crew, with team members spread across Asia and Europe.
We're a fully online studio—no office meetings, no office distractions. Just good vibes and a productive, remote-first workflow.
